Judgement day - only 3 months to go

Don't forget, May 21st this year is the deadline for repentance, as explained by the careful and very certain Harold Camping here and here. If there are many things of this world that you yet hope to experience, you need to organise your diary quite carefully.

On the plus side, those of you not expecting to be raptured can make a few quid by signing up for pet-sitting duties. Although, as Mr Camping would tell you if only you would listen, you won't have much time to spend it.

To understand why this isn't just an excuse to laugh at the deluded, and why "Biblical" Christians ought to be careful what they say, read my original post on the subject.

Thanks Charlie, a fascinating read. I'm really looking forward to your 22nd May blog on the subject.

If we're still here, of course.

Hum - just realised my brain-freeze - that it isn't really 3 months until 21st May, except in a very approximate sense. It's a good job I'm not a biblical numerologist, I might end up predicting the end of the world and getting it wrong.

After sweeping though his main article twice(maybe I missed it) and through his responses to anticipated objections, I did notice that Harold missed a particularly key verse:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Matthew 24:36
